Description
Body made of black lacquered leather, sewn-on visors (signs of heat damage on the rear visor). On the front, a gilded imperial eagle secured with leather wedges (the cross on the imperial orb has been re-soldered) with a band reading "Waterloo - Peninsula - Venta del Pozo". Leather chin strap attached to a "Model 91" button, colour-lacquered iron imperial cockade, black-and-white field badge inserted at the top. Brown leather flap lining, stamped inside the lid "Müller & Co., Offenbach a.M., 1918, 56". On the neck flap, a faintly legible rectangular stamp (presumably "B.A. X." (Clothing Office X), signs of wear and age.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
