Description

Double-edged gladius blade (stained, unsigned, unstamped), with three fullers on each side. Heavy brass cross-guard with a scaled grip. In a black leather scabbard (heavily scuffed, re-blackened) with smooth brass fittings (merely attached) and a carrying stud. Partially slightly damaged, with signs of wear and age. Length 67.5 cm. Rare. Cf. Lhoste / Resek, Les Sabres, pp. 82, 83.
