Description
1–2) Two long and narrow blades, tapering continuously towards the head. Wide, flat central rib in the centre, extending almost to the head. Both ground at the upper end in modern times; one retaining remains of a hilt once attached in cast-over technique. Both with green Patina and incrustation. Length 55 cm and 61.2 cm. 3) Long and narrow blade, tapering continuously towards the head. At the upper end the blade widens into a trapezoidal terminal with two raised heads at the top, flanking the tang. The tang ground at the end and sides in modern times. In the upper half a wide, flat central rib, transitioning in the lower half to a narrow, rounded but clearly offset central rib that continues to the head. Green Patina; on one side the cutting edge also lightly ground to the point of Patina removal. Length 45 cm. 4) Broad, triangular blade at the top, the straight sides tapering continuously towards the head. Slightly drawn inward towards the hilt at the upper end. In the centre of the lower half a triple-ribbed central rib, which in the upper half expands into a quadruple-ribbed central rib through the splitting of the middle rib. Dark green Patina, partially allowing the gold-coloured ground to show through. Oxide deposits on one side. Ground at the upper end in modern times. Length 42 cm.
