Description
Colour print on laid paper. Signed in pencil lower right, designated E.A. on the left. The composition depicts a pair of figures facing one another beneath draped fabric forms, complemented by a smaller winged putto in the lower left of the picture plane. The depiction is executed in a free, variable line work; the restrained yellow and ochre tones are complemented by subtle green and violet accents that emphasise individual passages and allow the linear structure to predominate. Framed under glass. Profiled wooden frame with gilded surface, showing pronounced age- and use-related wear, particularly abrasion and minor losses at the edges and corners. The paper with an irregular deckle edge, light age-related discolouration. No visible tears or paper loss in the visible area. Image dimensions 58 × 39 cm, sheet dimensions 77 × 56.5 cm, frame dimensions 90 × 69 cm.Condition: I - II Questions about the lot?
