Description
Colour print on laid paper. Signed in pencil lower right, designated E.A. on the left. The composition depicts a surreal coastal landscape with maritime elements and figural staffage. The transparent colouration supports the linear dynamism and underscores the sketchy, animated character of the depiction. Framed under glass. Profiled wooden frame with gilded surface, with minor age- and wear-related traces at the edges and corners. The parade has shifted slightly within the frame; visible in the upper right area, causing the parade to currently rest against the lower rabbet. The paper with an irregular deckle edge and slight age-related discolouration. No obvious tears or paper loss in the visible area. Image dimensions 50.50 × 36.83 cm, frame dimensions 79.5 × 64.5 cm.Condition: I - Questions about the lot?
