Description
The strongly curved blade with chu-kissaki, the hamon and hada not discernible. Brass habaki with mon chiselled on both sides. Nakago taped onto the grip. Ivory tsuba with a border of cloud dragons around the edge. Tsuka and saya in finely carved elephant ivory, dyed black. Embellished with a series of different scenes from Japanese life, a depiction of two deities riding on a dragon and a kite on the locket. Two movable suspension rings in tachi style. The locket and grip glued with old repairs. Length 82.5 cm. German CITES documents dated 6/2024 included.
