Description

Cal. 11,15x60R M71, SN. 3152A, numbers not matching. Barrel length 88 cm, bright bore. Rear sight graduated 6 to 16. Bayonet mount on the front band. The breech end of the barrel marked "OESTERR.WAFFFB.GES.". Year of make 1876, put in service in 1877. Bavarian acceptance mark "GF". The butt cap with unit marking "10.G.B.1.13.", on the tang "13.J R". Barrel and fittings polished, no finish left, some minor pitting on receiver and barrel, remainders of a protective coat of paint. Walnut stock with minor signs of wear, both sling swivels, the ramrod added later. A rare rifle, of which only 20.000 were made. Includes a bayonet M 1871 by "Erfurt", the saw-back of the blade marked Crown/"W81" and imperial acceptance mark. Length x width of blade 475 x 36 mm. Unit markings "E.15. ?07". Some minor pitting on the hilt. Length of rifle 132 cm.
