Description
Typical SS RZM steel service helmet, which was re-used by the Reichsluftschutzbund during the war. The blue and grey Luftschutz paint finish approx. 65 % preserved, no decals. The inside stamped „SS” and „RZM”, diameter of the stamps 23.38 mm (SS) and 23.07 mm (RZM). Complete with leather liner, the aluminium ring and the edge of the helmet also painted blue and grey. The chinstrap has been lost, however the loop for the strap is preserved on the left side. Obvious signs of age and wear. A small drill hole in the centre of the helmet crown, without penetrating the skull. Extremely rare steel helmet.Condition: II - III Questions about the lot?
