Two cut crystal glasses featuring the characteristic semi-circular “shell” pattern, demonstrably used in Adolf Hitler’s Berghof residence, the Mooslahner Teahouse, and the Kehlsteinhaus on the Obersalzberg, 1930s–1940s. One glass has two small chips at the top of the rim. The glasses were recovered in May 1945 from the still largely intact interior of the bomb-damaged Mooslahner Teahouse and remained in local private use for decades. The authenticity of this glass type is exceptionally well documented: finds of identical examples during excavations at the Berghof site (1985-88 and 1991), testimony by Margarethe Mitlstrasser, long-time housekeeper of the Berghof, archival documentation in the Bavarian Main State Archives (correspondence and invoices, including Berlandy, Munich), contemporary photographs by Eva Braun showing Adolf Hitler seated with glasses of this exact type in the Mooslahner Teahouse, comparative excavation finds from 1985–1988. Berlandy (Munich) served as official supplier to the Berghof; wartime records document recurring procurement difficulties due to the fragility of these cut crystal pieces. The lot is accompanied by a 29-page written expert report by a recognized Obersalzberg specialist, comprehensively documenting the provenance, archival records, photographic comparisons, and excavation evidence.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
