Description

Field-grey gabardine with dull grey lacing, interwoven in black, the rosettes and toggles braided, two side pockets. Slip-on epaulettes in tarnished silver thread interwoven in black. Appliquéd metal cipher „KR below the Austrian and Hungarian crown, lined in dark green fabric. Smooth black silk lining with an inside breast pocket containing an empty Iron Cross 1st Class presentation case. A few tiny holes and occasional broken threads, signs of age and wear. In beautiful condition. Kaiser Karl I of Austria was commander of the regiment from 2 December 1914 until its dissolution in 1918, which explains the metal cipher KR”.
