Description

Fein geschnitzter Kopf aus einer Geweihgabel mit Darstellung zweier berittener Ulanen, daneben ein Zelt mit abgesessenem Dragoner. Deckel mit Silbermontierung, darauf ein plastischer liegender Löwe. Rohr aus Geweih mit Mundstück aus gedrechseltem Horn. Höhe des Kopfes 13 cm, Gesamtlänge 30 cm. Johann Leberecht Schulz (1774 - 1863), bekannter Elfenbein- und Hirschhornschnitzer, tätig in Meiningen. Hofkunstdrechsler des Herzogs Georg I. Während des Napoleonischen Krieges erhielten Blücher und Wellington von ihm gearbeitete patriotische Pfeifen als Geschenk.
