Description

Folded double sheet, written on three sides. The letter concerns the search for a qualified representative of the Saxon princes to attend the Electors' Diet in Regensburg, in order to assert Saxony's claims regarding the burdens of war. At the bottom is the date “Weimar, 7 August … 1630” and the signature “Wilhelm”. Discoloured, crease marks, scattered stains, minimal tears. Dimensions 32 x 19.5 cm.
