Description

Czapka in black lacquered leather (craquelures) with fittings in white and yellow metal. Screw-mounted, silver-plated guard eagle with appliquéd, partially enamelled guard star for officers. Convex, gilt brass chinscales on leather underlay on geometric rosettes, on the right the officer's cockade in lacquered sheet iron, the parade plume of black and white buffalo hair (no field insignia) inserted at the top. Golden yellow parade rabatt and lanyard with round silver cord interwoven in black and two tassels. Ochre-coloured silk rep lining (minor tears, stained, coming away at the edge in places), ochre-coloured leather sweatband, the peak has become detached from the bar. Ulanka in dark blue fabric, Polish cuffs and collar in yellow fabric with guard braid in tarnished silver thread. Smooth, silver-plated buttons, button-on yellow parade rabatt. Epaulettes for a cavalry captain with yellow sections and sliders, plus silver-plated crescents. Silver cartouche bandolier and officer's sash. Lion's head sabre (length 94 cm), the single-edged blade (stained) with a Solingen knight's helmet mark, brass hilt, sword knot with leather band, black lacquered steel scabbard, white leather hanger. The trousers in dark blue fabric. Black leather boots with spurs. Two white leather gloves. A rare uniform set. Slightly damaged in places, signs of age and wear.
