High tombac skull (slightly dented) with nickel-silver trim and spherical rivets, ridged front visor, the inside of the front visor rail stamped "Wilh:Jaeger" (manufacturer). The nickel-silver guard star appliquéd at the front (fixed by three new leather wedges) with appliquéd black iron eagle. Convex chinscales with leather underlay on screw rosettes, state cockade in lacquered sheet iron. Screw-mounted parade eagle with removable silver crown for enlisted men (the surface of the eagle refreshed, cracked, several mounting components renewed). The blackened liner with leather flaps in beautiful condition, the underside of the front visor lacquered in green (worn), the rear visor with blackish brown leather underlay (heavily worn). Slight damage in places, the eagle restored, signs of age and wear. Remarkable, distinguished helmet.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
