High skull of thick, black leather with brass fittings, the rear and front visors stitched on. Two protective bars in leather-covered wire on each side. High comb with a black horsehair crest, supported with wire. A high, embossed brass shield on the front with a crowned Swedish coat of arms (three crowns). Flat chinscales with leather underlay on geometric rosettes, a cockade in yellow ribbed silk on the side. Worn liner with leather flaps (scuffed, occasional minor cracks, traces of paint). Some areas on the seams of the skull, chinscales, wire reinforcement of the horsehair crest and mounting components of the brass fittings have been inconspicuously replaced, signs of age and wear.
