Description

Gray clay. Slightly flaring walls, painted in polychrome all around. Upper section featuring a pseudo-glyph border in slight relief. Below this, rectangular cartouches with incised decoration. A continuous crack. Dimensions: 17.5 x 13.5 cm. Similar vessels were used for the ritual consumption of cocoa beverages. The glyphs could contain dates, names, or symbolic messages. The age was determined based on the object’s characteristics, without having commissioned a TL expert opinion. CULTURAL ASSET!
