Description

Ton, bemalt. Auf drei runden, hochgezogenen Beinen mit Tonkugeln (Rasseln) im Inneren. Darüber Schale in Form eines stilisierten Vogels mit plastisch ausgeformtem Kopf und Schwanz. Ausgestellter Lippenrand. Altersbedingte Gebrauchsspuren. Ein Bein mit Riss, Schnabel restauriert. Maße 15 x 18,5 x 16,5 cm. Bei Bewegung entsteht ein rituelles Rasselgeräusch. Die Vogelikonographie wird häufig mit Tod, Wiedergeburt und Übergangsvorstellungen in Verbindung gebracht. Solche Gefäße vereinen Klang, Bewegung und Symbolik in ritueller Praxis. Die Altersbestimmung erfolgt aufgrund der Charakteristika des Objekts, ohne ein TL Gutachten angefertigt zu haben. KULTURGUT!

Provenance: Ex Sammlung Joey Martinez (vor 1970), danach Sammlung Mike Teager USA, seit Anfang der 2000ern in deutscher Privatsammlung.
