Description

Ovale Matrix aus Eisen mit tief geschnittener Gravur. Das zentrale Motiv zeigt die zwei von einem hermelinbesetzten Mantel umgebenen Wappen des herzoglichen Paares, bekrönt von einem Erzherzoghut. Die umlaufende, fein geschlagene Inschrift lautet: "SEKRETARIAT I.K.H. ERZH. ELISABETH V. ÖSTERR. PRINZESS. V. SAVOYEN". Pilzförmiger Griff aus ebonisiertem Holz mit leichten Kratzern und einer facettierten, stellenweise fleckigen Eisenfassung. Maße der Matrix 3,7 x 3,3 cm, Höhe 12 cm. Maria Elisabeth von Savoyen-Carignan (1800 - 1856) war Prinzessin von Savoyen und Erzherzogin von Österreich, außerdem Stiefmutter und Tante von Vittorio Emanuele II., dem ersten König des vereinten Italiens im 19. Jhdt.
