Rectangular box made of riveted sheet iron, resting on four ball feet. Lid and sides feature finely etched hunting motifs; the surface is mottled or pitted in places. The hinged lid has a removable carrying handle and a keyhole without a cover. The key, which has been replaced, features a volute-shaped bow. Etched interior of the lid; lock mechanism with two tumblers and a heart-shaped etched cover plate. The interior is lined with red lead.
