Description

The damascus steel barrel of Ottoman origin from the end of the 17th century. Round-to-decagonal, calibre 17 mm. Flared muzzle with silver inlaid decorative band and front sight. The barrel top lavishly decorated with silver-inlaid leave-shaped embellishments. In the chamber area gold-inlaid maker's mark. The Miquelet lock partly silver-plated with floral niello decoration. Walnut half-stock, slightly carved, horn tip, the grip with fine checkering. Some delicate silver-wire inlays. The furniture made of silver, engraved, on the bottom of the buttstock showing an Ottoman warrior with bow, sword and a pipe. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length 139 cm.
