Description

Octagonal barrel with double-groove rifled bore in 14 mm calibre. Lavishly chiselled lock plate, signed "B. Daisenberger in Minchen". Complete wheellock with hair trigger. Intricately carved full stock in walnut, the brass furniture engraved with hunting motifs. Sight base behind the tang, a brass plaque engraved with a crowned eagle on the cheekpiece. A patch box with interior lead weight on the right, spring-loaded lid with brass fittings, inscribed "Wieser" at the centre. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length 122 cm. According to Heer, "Der neue Stöckel", Vol. 1, Bartolomäus Daisenberger (mentioned 1746 - 1777) was appointed by the electoral Bavarian court.
