Description

Slightly curved single-edged blade with broadened double-edged point. Three narrow fullers on each side. On the obverse remnants of an engraved inscription above the edge, the base of the blade with inlaid oval silver plaque. Quillons of engraved and gilt silver, the ends of the arms tapered and with openwork. The obverse set with turquoise cabochons, the reverse decorated with small silver rivets. Grip wrapped with gilt silver wire. Pommel cap set with turquoises. Wooden scabbard covered with red wool velvet, rubbed. Finely engraved and chiselled gilt silver fittings set with turquoises (one turquoise at the locket lost). The edges decorated with surrounding silver rivets. Two movable suspension rings. Small repair at the end of the chape and on one arm of the quillons. Length 101.5 cm.
