Description

Typically curved, single-edged blade, lavishly embellished with silver inlays on both sides, a rectangular calligraphic cartouche on the reverse. The gilt grip ferrule adorned with filigree and set with corals. Large, walrus ivory grip scales, both cracked. The gilt grip frames set with finely fluted, teardrop-shaped corals. Wooden scabbard with an intricately chased cover in sheet silver. Minor defects on the top. Gilt locket decorated with fine filigree and three rows of corals. Animal's head chape, slightly compressed. Length 75.5 cm.
