Cap body in white linen, black mohair cap band, white piping, gilt chin cords attached by two gilt finish pebbled buttons. Gilt finish metal eagle, gilt embroidered wreath with anchor and railway wings, metal cockade with red cloth insert. Black lacquered visor with brown, checkered underside. White linen lining, moisture shield intact with remains of manufacturer mark underneath, brown ersatz leather sweatband. Toning to chin cords. Light soiling. Exhibits age. Size ca. 53.
