Cap body in blue wool, black velvet cap band, red piping, dark blue chin cords with gilt accents attached by two gilt finish pebbled buttons. Gilt finish metal railway eagle with cog wheel and swastika, metal cockade with red cloth insert. Black lacquered visor with brown, smooth finish underside. Gold artificial silk lining, no moisture shield, remains of manufacturer stamp, brown ersatz leather sweatband. Moth nips. Exhibits age. Size ca. 54.
