Description

Cap body in dark green wool, black cap band, silver-aluminum chin cords attached by two silver finished pebbled buttons. Early insignia placement with silver finish two-piece metal eagle at top, metal cockade with red cloth center below. Black lacquered visor with grey, checkered finish underside. Dark green artificial silk lining with light soiling, moisture shield intact including paper size tag stamped "57" inserted beneath. Manufacturer-mark “August Müller”, identification tag of grey cloth with red embroidered numbers “117” hand-applied. Grey leather sweatband. Red cloth center of cockade is damaged. Surface of visor exhibits age. Very minor moth nips.
