Description

Cal. 7,63mmMauser, SN. 13404, all matching numbers. Barrel length 140 mm, slightly frosted barrel. Ten shots. Proof marks double-crown/"U" and Oberndorf antler. Made in 1899/1900. Rear sights graduated from 50 - 500. Long extractor. The chamber with three-line company markings. Excellent original finish with only some minimal spotting. Hammer and locking block case hardened, small parts nitre blued. Bolt and trigger in the white. Walnut grips. Lanyard ring. Early "Large Ring Hammer" guns in the transitional serial number range from 12000 to 15000 have occasionally been built with Cone hammer receivers, early pattern firing pins, triggers and pinned sights. This pattern is extremely rare. See Breathed/Schroeder, System Mauser, p. 56-57. The walnut shoulder stock in very good condition, with matching number and no cracks.
