Description
Glazed white porcelain. Detailed depiction of a soldier carrying a rifle over his shoulder (the butt is missing) and a powder horn at his belt. Quadrangular base with curved sides, the bottom open and with sceptre mark with blue underglaze in the form between 1770 and 1780 as well as impressed model number "491". Apart from the missing butt without damage. Height 29 cm. Extremely rare. Listed in the archival table of the KPM 1763-86 as "Cossack". Cf. Vgl. Köllmann/Jarchow, Berliner Porzellan, vol.
