Description

Silver, partially gilt. On foil-curved pedestals of oval cross-section, each with four fully sculptured dragon's feet. The enamelled Finnish coat of arms (a crowned lion) on the front of each. The pair of life-sized seated falcons with finely engraved and chiselled plumage. The inset eyes made of glass. Gilt jesses on each of their feet. The back of both pedestals hallmarked with the crescent moon, crown, fineness "800" and maker's mark. Height 77.5 and 78.5 cm respectively (height of falcons 39 and 40 cm), total weight 4578 g.
