Description

Hira zukuri blade, iori-mune, boshi with short kaeri. Hamon gunome midare, togari nioi deki. Mukume itame hada. Silver habaki. Nakago ubu with one mekugi-ana, higaki-yasurime. Signed "Kane Naga". Black-lacquered koshirae in sabiji style with associated fine silver mounting. Tsuka with engraved myoga mon. The fittings with raised flowering branches and butterflies inlaid in silver and gold. Kotsuka with a depiction of a monkey with a crab, signed. Kogai with a duck by the stream. Appliquéd silver peony blossoms in high relief on the saya. Blade length k/m 34.1 cm, overall length 48 cm. Includes a written expert report by Massimo Rossi, Sesto Fiorentino.
