Description

A bronze breech-loading gun with distinctive, greenish-brownish patina and traces of incrustations. Barrel in 8 cm calibre with cannon muzzle and lateral trunnions. A vacant escutcheon applied to the top. Removable breech block with angular handle. Lateral slit-shaped holders for the insertion of a wedge, the base of the breech with round opening. Length 117.5 cm, weight 98.4 kg.

Provenance: From an old German private collection, acquired in the 1960s.
