Description

The fly-leaf marked (transl.) „War memoirs – Third Album - October 1942 - December 1943 - Foggia - Rome - Grosseto - Villacidro - Bracciano - Castel Gandolfo - Verona - Montefiascone - Milan - Bergamo - Venice". Major Mayer was deputy airport commander. All approx. 300 photos with captions, amongst which photos of cargo planes such as the Messerschmitt Me 323 "Giant" (Gigant), the Heinkel He 111 Z "Twin" (Zwilling), the Junker Ju 90, Ju 190(?) and  Ju 290. Most likely this album was given to GFM Kesselring in support of one of his book projects, as again several photos were removed.

General Information

The auction includes 608 lots and starts on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 at 10 am (CET). Lot no. 2001 - 2608. The pre-sale viewing will take place from Oct. 18 - 21 Oct., 2020 from 2 to 6 pm (CET). However, the number of participants for both auction and viewing is limited due to Covid-19 restrictions and requires an appointment. Bring your favourite breathing mask! Prior to any visit please check our website - we'll update it as soon as the situation changes.
