Description

The diamonds of the second version from the workshop of the Hanau jeweller Otto Klein, made of platinum set with diamonds. Made in several parts and riveted with the lateral slits to allow more light to enter and increase the effect of the stones. A punched Klein logo, the hallmark "950 PT" and the Hanau city mark stamped on the back of the left sword. Width of the Oak Leaves 22.3 mm, the Swords 27.2 mm, height 32 mm, weight 14 g. Comes with a Knight's Cross manufactured by Steinhauer & Lück. According to the reference work "Das Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes" by D. Maerz, it is known as the "B-Type" – a post-war issue. Dimensions 48.1 x 56.2 mm, weight without suspension ring 29.2 g. Includes a ribbon section, approx. 59 cm long.

The auction includes 608 lots and starts on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 at 10 am (CET). Lot no. 2001 - 2608. The pre-sale viewing will take place from Oct. 18 - 21 Oct., 2020 from 2 to 6 pm (CET). However, the number of participants for both auction and viewing is limited due to Covid-19 restrictions and requires an appointment. Bring your favourite breathing mask!
