SS-Standartenführer Walter Harzer - a Führer's Epee

Description

Unmarked straight blade with Harzer’s SS number 23101 engraved on the obverse, moderate age. Nickel hilt fittings, early step style pommel, with stamped SS proof “Kulturzeichen”, underside of crossguard complete with white leather washer. Ebony grip consists of thirteen segments separated by nickel wire wrap with perfectly positioned background burnished nickel runes button. Black lacquered steel scabbard with nickel plated steel fittings retains 99% re-finish and exhibits minor age marks, lower pressed fitting. Movable attachment ring present. Epee complete with silver/aluminum thread SS officer's portepee. Length circa 100 cm.

The auction includes 608 lots and starts on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 at 10 am (CET). Lot no. 2001 - 2608. The pre-sale viewing will take place from Oct. 18 - 21 Oct., 2020 from 2 to 6 pm (CET).
