Nickel-plated blade with fullers on both sides, no maker’s mark. Silver-plated (cleaned, conserved) knuckle-bow hilt decorated in relief, lion head cap with red glass eyes, the obverse languet with applied gilt crossed cannon barrels, black grip of synthetic material with wire wrap, broad dark leather sword knot with three silver interweaves. Iron scabbard partly re-lacquered, with black leather hanger. Length approx. 91 cm. According to the enclosed Siegert expertise the sabre was listed in the Alcoso sales catalogue of 1935 under number 113 as model for the SS dispositional troops.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
