Description

Two-stage barrel, octagonal then round, with smooth bore in 11.5 mm calibre. Attached in front of the muzzle, a powerful axe head with a strongly rounded cutting edge and a flat hammer head on the back. The lock with external wheel and spring-loaded pan cover. Half stock in walnut (a repair below the lock plate). Faceted iron butt cap, iron trigger guard. The forearm with an iron barrel band, inset iron ramrod. Length 68 cm. Remarkable combination firearm, dating from the Thirty Years' War. Includes the original invoice from Historische Waffen, Jürgen Fricker in Dinkelsbühl, dated 1992, showing the purchase price of DM 22,000.
