Description
Octagonal to round barrel with smooth bore in 13 mm calibre. Lock with external wheel and sliding pan cover, fine baluster-cut trigger with iron trigger guard. Stock of ebonised walnut, the hexagonal butt with grooved iron ferrule. On the butt cap a double-headed eagle with date “1627” finely inlaid in silver wire and pins. Original wooden ramrod with baluster-cut iron tip. Length 53.5 cm. A considerable number of comparable wheellock pistols manufactured in Ferlach are held in the collection of the Zeughaus in Graz.Condition: II + Questions about the lot?
