Description

The slender, octagonal barrel with a slightly flared muzzle, smooth bore in 9.5 mm calibre. Remnants of leafy vines inlaid in silver at the root and middle of the barrel and near the muzzle. Engraved wheellock with external spring, a reclining doe on the cover of the trigger spring. The spring-loaded pan cover with a release button. Slender full stock in walnut with a bone nosepiece. Entirely covered with fine inlays of polished and blackened bone and mother-of-pearl. Depictions of wild animals, hounds and mythical creatures. A representation of St. George on horseback on the cheek piece, a hunter with a boar spear fighting a wild boar on the opposite side of the butt. Patch box with a spring catch and sliding lid. Original wooden ramrod with bone tip. Length 112 cm.
