Description
Depot piece. Black lacquered body (worn), which was made from one piece of papier-mâché, including the cover. The front and rear visors stitched on, two air vents in black lacquered sheet iron on the side. At the front, an enlisted men's silver-plated eagle fixed by means of leather wedges (one preserved), the original chinstrap made of black leather attached to M 91 side post lugs, Reich cockade in lacquered sheet metal. The field insignia inserted at the top (sits loosely), the cover stitched in black and white fabric. Black leather liner (scuffed, minor cracks), the black depot issue stamp "FFA ..." in the body and oval manufacturer's stamp (illegible) with the date "1915". Slightly damaged in places, signs of age. Interesting substitute version.Condition: II - Questions about the lot?
