Description

Ovaler Holzspiegel mit rundum fein geschnitzten Elfenbeinauflagen. Plastische Blattzier gerahmt von Perlbändern entlang der Innen- und Außenseite. Als Spitze bekröntes Wappen mit Löwen und Lilien mit Inschrift "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE" (Beschämt sei, wer schlecht darüber denkt), dem Leitsatz der britischen Grenadier-Garde. Darunter beschädigtes Schriftband "Pour ...". Entouriert von zwei Wappenschildern, eins mit Lilien und eins mit Löwen. Seitlich bekrönte Löwenköpfe und Putti. Am unteren Abschluss Kartusche mit Ligaturmonogramm gerahmt von zwei Putti, die einen Schild tragen. Partiell restauriert, kleine Auflagen fehlen. Maße 79 x 54,5 cm. Aktuelle CITES-Unterlagen vorhanden.
