Description

Salbgefäß aus beigefarbenem Ton mit kugeligem Bauch, kurzem und schmalem zylindrischen Hals und breitem, waagerecht nach außen geführtem Rand mit senkrecht herabhängender Lippe. Auf der Rückseite zwischen Rand und Schulter ein kurzer, bandförmiger Henkel. Vorne und seitlich mit Vierblattmotiv bemalt. Die Blätter rötlich, das Netzwerk und andere Ornamente dazwischen sienafarben. Rand und Lippe mit sienafarbenen, runden Streifen und Linien bemalt. Abgesehen von kleiner Abplatzung auf der Oberkante des Rands intakt. Bemalung abgesehen von minimalen Abriebstellen ausgezeichnet erhalten. Höhe 6,7 cm. Breite 6,7 cm.

Provenance: Frankfurter Privatsammlung. Erworben bei Hermann Historica im April 2016 (Auktion 72, Los 4578).
