Description

Heavy silver-plated cloche with implanted massive square silver section depicting the engraved Prussian eagle (divergence in crown and sceptre). Jar hallmark below handle. Presumably an offered item of Sheffield silver manufacturers Roberts, Cadman & Co. or successors, who were supplying this cloche type between 1785 - 1891. Signs of age and usage.
