Description

The wooden figurine of an old man leaning on a scythe, a globe beneath his feet, a winged skeleton with an hourglass peeling off from his back. On an ebonised pedestal, veneered in tortoiseshell. Height of the figure 19 cm, overall height 24 cm.
Delicately cut figurine, skilfully combining the iconography of Chronos with that of the transience of life.
