Description
A very detailed sculpture of St. George after Donato di Niccolò di Betto Bardi, aka "Donatello" (1386 – 1466). The original of this sculpture was made for a niche in the northern wing of the church Or San Michele, the “Tabernacolo degli Armaiuoli” (the "gun makers' shrine") in Florence, where it was replaced by a bronze sculpture.Marble with damages and chipped. Partly restored. Height 47 cm.
