Description

Hinged brass box. In the lid full portrait of the laurel-wreathed young Frederick II in gala uniform. Inscribed at the bottom right "JOH. HENR. GIBBE(?) FEC." and "FRIDERICUS MAGNUS BORUSSORUM REX.". On the underside numerous relief-like decorations with town names referring to battles won. In the box old handwritten notes, these not checked. Signs of age and use.
