Description

Slightly swamped, smooth, octagonal barrels of Damascus steel in 16.5 mm calibre, signed "H.W. Mortimer & Co. London Gunmakers to His Majesty" on the tops, colour case hardened patent breechblocks with gold band inlays, engraving on the tangs. Modestly, exquisitely engraved flintlocks, frizzens on rollers, sliding safeties and set triggers. Beautifully grained half stocks with saw-handle grips and en suite engraved iron furniture and silver stock noses. Length of each 39 cm. The case lined in green, somewhat faded felt, an adhesive label of later date in the lid. Containing the wooden detachable stock with a magnificent grain and other accessories comprising powder flask, bullet mould, cleaning rod and screwdriver.
