Octagonal, then round, smooth bore barrels in 14 mm calibre with slightly flared muzzles. The tops of the barrels engraved with ornamental bands, each dated "1573". The wheellocks with spring-loaded pan covers, the gilt brass wheel covers engraved with the Electorate coat of arms. The lock plates monogrammed "L.D". The sides opposite the lock with thumb triggers alongside screw-mounted belt clasps. The rosewood stocks with engraved silver grip ferrules and fine silver wire inlays. Silver butt caps engraved with the Saxon coat of arms. Ridged iron trigger guards. Wooden ramrods with horn tips.
