Description

Slightly swamped octagonal barrel with eight-groove rifled bore in 12 mm calibre with dovetailed brass front sight and double folding iron rear sight. At the breech engraved signature "JACOB ROT". Slightly cut wheellock with floral engraving and semi-internal wheel. Double set trigger. Dark walnut full stock deeply carved near the butt and lock with flowers and hunting scenes, the nose and ramrod tubule made of horn. Underneath the lock mascaron carved in relief, the forestock with dragon head on both sides. Horn-plated patch box with mother-of-pearl inlays, on the cheek piece oval plate of mother of pearl. Original wooden ramrod with horn tip and screw-mounted bullet puller of brass. Untouched condition, iron parts with black patina in large areas. Elaborately crafted rifle that can be improved by cleaning. Length 108 cm.Condition: II - Questions about the lot?
