Cal. 7x65 R / 12/70, Nr. 1489/2 und 1489, Both barrels additionally marked with Günter Retz, Goldlauter, 65 cm long and bright bore. Suhl proof mark. Double barrel hook lock-up with Kersten locking mechanism. Machined barrel rib with folding rear sight. Richly engraved steel boxlock action with side locks (conforming to Merkel 303 E). On the right a sniffing hound with rising snipe, on the left hounds attacking a female boar. Double trigger with front set trigger. Dark walnut stock with Bavarian cheekpiece, inlaid on the left with a fox and rising duck framed by oak leaves, and carved on the right with a running male boar, also surrounded by oak leaves. Stock length 37 cm. Overall length 107 cm. Horn grip caps with applied silver monogram. Mounted by way of Suhl claw mount: scope Schmidt & Bender Zenith 3 - 12 x 50 with illuminated reticle 4. Dark split forend. Interchangeable over-and-under shotgun barrel no. 1489, 71 cm long, bright bore, also additionally inscribed with Günter Retz, Goldlauter, 71 cm, Suhl proof mark.Overall length with interchangeable barrel 113 cm. Brass-mounted leather case lined with green felt, dimensions 77 x 28 x 10 cm.
