Description

Octagonal barrel slightly indented in the middle with seven-groove rifled bore in 14.5 mm calibre. Dovetailed sights. The base of the barrel and the muzzle decorated in modern times with engraved tendrils and cut mark "KZ" with standing lion. High-quality original wheellock, circa 1730/40. The lock plate with finely engraved and cut depiction of a hunting party, signed "Hein. Auer in Salzburg". The interior mechanism with finely cut and engraved bars and springs. Damaged double set trigger, the firing pin does not lock in place. Walnut full stock lavishly carved with rocailles, nose of dark horn. Butt with patch box. Engraved brass furniture. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length 122 cm.
